Aggarwal Sabha makes a move to save environment
Showing solidarity with 39 units of the parent body in Sangrur district, office-bearers and activists of the Aggarwal Sabha here launched a movement to plant sandalwood saplings at public places and privately-owned spacious plots.
Executive magistrate KK Mittal inaugurated the movement by planting saplings at the Aggarsain Sadan at Chhapar road here today. Unit Secretary Tarsem Garg said the district organisation had given a call to organise tree plantation functions in the region at 26 places simultaneously at 7 am. Mittal appreciated the initiative taken by the organisation to prevent the degradation of the environment.
